Missions

James 1 : 27 says,

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Taking this seriously, we support as part of our mission program 3 children's homes.  Two of these, Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch and Cookson Hillls Christian Children's Homes are found right here in Missouri.  The other Children's home is Ninos de Mexico.  We also support one adult home, New Hope Christian Community.

There are 2 Bible Colleges we support that train ministers and missionaries:  Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, MO. and St. Louis Christian College in Florissant, MO.

Just a few of the other missions include: I.D.E.S. (International Disaster Emergency Service), L.O.C.E.F. (Lake Ozark Christian Evangelistic Fellowship), Gasconade Christians Service Camp, the Pulaski Christian Ministerial Alliance, Scott Springer Ministries, Salonique and Living Water Christian Mission in Haiti and Damon and Juli Jones who work on the Ivory Coast of Africa.  Each of these are listed separately for you to examine the specifics of their scope of ministry.

During October of 2009 we celebrated our annual Faith Promise month with displays from all our missions and special presentations from Scott Springer, who had just returned from Mexico, Damon and Juli Jones on furlough from Africa and Dr. Guthrie Veach, President of St. Louis Christian College leading FCC in our Faith Promise Commitments on the last Lord's Day in October.  Our Mission Ministry Team had set a goal of $15,000.00 to be raised for support of these missions.  We surpassed our goal by $3,000.00 for a total of $18,000.  What an outstanding way to conclude our month of mission's emphasis. For pictures of some of the displays sent to us, see individualized mission sections.
